Benjamin Cobb, Founder & Executive Director
Benjamin has a longstanding interest in community development and
an extensive record of public service throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
An economics graduate of The Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, Mr. Cobb focused on social entrepreneurship
and community development in southern Africa. His professional training includes consultancy work for the Namibian Ministry of
Education, where he worked to integrate computers into the secondary education curriculum. He is also the producer of Promote Africa's
first international film, Deep Roots Malawi. In his free time, he enjoys reading, camping, hiking and film.

Dave Gupta, Director of Operations
Whether he's restructuring the organization or mastering a new coding
language to help build this very site, Dave makes sure it all gets done.
With interests that lie at the intersection of science and practical innovation, Dave avidly pursues
a Master of Public Health in global epidemiology and a career in medicine. He hopes to change the way people view
the world of nonprofits by rigorously applying skepticism and evidence-based practice to support only the best ideas to
the fullest extent and by designing new models for delivering charity.

Lauren Marsh, Director of Bright Ideas Grant
With unique insight into the community's perspective, Lauren
is the perfect liaison between Promote Africa and great community-born ideas.
Lauren Marsh delicately balances compassion and intelligence in order to find
the best-fitting and most impactful project ideas when leading our Bright Ideas Grant Committee
-- a small, motivated team of Project Evaluators. A student of Anthropology, she also keeps in
touch with grant recipients from previous years, checking in to ensure each project's
sustainability and resilience.

Danielle Sobol, Director of Fundraising
With a penchant for great ideas, there's no one we'd rather have making sure
each project we support gets the funding it needs.
Danielle has a genuine dedication to helping others that is evident to all who have met her.

It is almost certainly her intense concern for people that draws her toward medicine and a

entire Art Social Business.
One of the first of its kind, this nonprofit business that supports our Bright Ideas
Grant could be in no better hands. Every day, Tiffany Hu combines creativity and hardwork to ship
African artwork to international doorsteps and get Namibian PVC Bracelets into fashion magazines
and downtown retailers. And she takes it all on with a bubbly personality that never fades.
